HandyGrow Plant Heating Cable

Plants love warmth!

Plants grow  when it is warm. Professional gardeners know  that  the temperature of  soil should be much higher than the temperature of air to increase growing of plants .  When the soil is not  warmed up it will have a lower  temperature than the air. Pouring the plants with cold water also makes the temperature of the soil lower.  

HandyGrow heating cable will :

• better seed germination
• better  development and growth of the root
• better root function of the plant

Warmth in the soil makes the seed germination and growth of  plant better. The best conditions for growing the seeds and plants are when th temperature of the soil is 15 – 21 ºC and the temperature of the air is 5 – 7 ºC.

The technique is to put a heating cable down in the 3 cm layer of sand. The heating cable is laid with the  distance of  c. 10 cm. Thus warmth will spread uniformly.    

HandyGrow heating cable is produced with output in 15 Watt – 25 Watt – 50 Watt – 80 Watt. Usually  80 Watt pr m ²  is used for soil  regardless of the construction, insulation and function.
